Tina Sood, Founder and Director

A key part of our ethos is ensuring clients receive tailored, commercially grounded advice delivered exclusively by senior, highly experienced HR professionals.
Having managed teams myself, I understand the pressures and competing demands faced by line managers and business leaders. With over 20 years’ experience in HR, I also appreciate how challenging and uncomfortable people issues can be. That’s why we strip away unnecessary jargon and focus on practical, solution focused support—empowering leaders to get the best from their people and to foster workplaces where individuals can genuinely thrive.
As an external HR partner, we also bring the advantage of a fresh, objective perspective. Many business owners value this independent, ‘outside in’ view, especially when navigating organisational change or more complex situations. “My approach to HR is always from a practical perspective. I have a varied background of experience across the public, private and third sectors. Working in a consulting capacity allows me to utilise my experience across these sectors for our clients, understand not only the sector but also best practice associated with each of them and their unique challenges.
I particularly enjoy encouraging new talent into HR and supporting the development of people who are looking to progress a career in HR. I also get great satisfaction from coaching and developing line managers with leading, motivating and managing their people in order to allow their people to thrive and develop. My past leadership roles have provided me with plenty of opportunity to do this and to develop my coaching and mentoring skills and I have been able to continue this with ARC HR, where clients want to develop their own HR resource. This has on occasions meant that clients have no longer required our services for the more day to day operational matters, allowing us to then support them with more specialist and strategic projects to drive the organisation forward.
